The Mountain Hawks had a seven-point lead with 1:50 left. Eric Laster made a layup and Andre Walker hit a 3-pointer to pull Loyola to 66-64 with 48 seconds left. Ross made a pair of free throws and Jarred Jones answered with a layup to keep it a two-point game.

Ross then split a pair of free throws, Walker missed a potential game-tying 3-pointer with six seconds left, and Kyle Leufroy added two more from the line to seal it.
