Belmont keeps lead with 73-67 win over Morehead State

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) Craig Bradshaw scored 16 points and Taylor Barnette 14 to help Belmont hold off Morehead State 73-67 on Thursday night and maintain the Bruins' one-game lead in the Ohio Valley Conference.

Bradshaw made four 3-pointers and Barnett three for the Bruins (17-7, 9-1), who won after a loss to second-place Tennessee Tech on Saturday snapped a nine-game winning streak. Evans Bradds had 10 rebounds and 11 points as Belmont shot 57 percent.

Belmont had a 10-point lead nearing the halfway point of the second half. The Eagles cut it to one and later trailed by two on Xavier Moon's jumper with 5:21 to go. The Bruins used nine free throws and one field goal to edge away from the Eagles, who missed nine of their last 12 shots. Barnette made three free throws and Dylan Windler one in the final 33 seconds.

Corban Collins scored 20 points to lead Morehead State (12-10, 6-4), which shot 39 percent.
