Thomas, Lundy lead Rider to 66-60 win over Niagara

NIAGARA FALLS, N.Y. (AP) Kahlil Thomas and Xavier Lundy scored 20 points apiece and Rider took control down the stretch to defeat Niagara 66-60 on Friday night.

The Broncs (10-14, 6-7 Metro Atlantic) trailed 32-24 at the half and didn't take the lead until a 3-point play by Thomas capped his personal 7-0 run and made it 46-45 with 9:30 to play.

Jimmie Taylor's free throws at 6:02 gave Rider the lead, 52-51, for good and Lundy followed with a layup after a turnover as the Broncos went on an 8-0 run that included a Lundy dunk.

The Purple Eagles (6-18, 4-9) were within 3 before a Lundy free throw at 35 seconds and after a miss he made two more.

Emile Blackman had 17 points for Niagara and Matt Scott had 16 with 11 rebounds.

Thomas, who added 12 rebounds, has all nine of his career double-doubles in the last 14 games.
