Longwood gets by Charleston Southern 78-76 in double OT

CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) Kanayo Obi-Rapu made nine of his 17 points in two overtime periods and Tra'Vaughn White made two free throws with 29 seconds left in the second extra period to give Longwood a 78-76 victory over Charleston Southern on Saturday night.

Obi-Rapu hit a trey to start the scoring in the first overtime and quickly nailed another one after a Shaquille Johnson steal and assist.

Charleston Southern's Raemond Robinson, who finished with 18 points, nailed a 3-pointer to tie at 71 with 1:00 left and send the game into the second overtime.

Obi-Rapu completed a 3-point play and White added a jumper and two free throws in the second overtime to seal the win for Longwood (8-17, 4-8 Big South).

Lotanna Nwogbo led the Lancers with 19 points and 13 rebounds. White scored 17 and Darrion Allen added 14.

Armel Potter scored 21 and Javis Howard 16 for Charleston Southern (8-16, 4-9).
