South Dakota stops losing skid, beats Oral Roberts 91-79

VERMILLION, S.D. (AP) Casey Kasperbauer nailed 3 of 5 from long range to total 17 points as South Dakota stopped a four-game losing skid with a 91-79 win over Oral Roberts on Saturday.

Kasperbauer, who has made 47 straight free throws this season, made four down the stretch to seal the win and give coach Craig Smith his 100th career win. Tre Burnette had 15 points and five blocks for South Dakota (11-14, 3-8 Summit). Trey Norris had 15 points and eight assists and Tyler Flack added 12 points.

The Coyotes made 53 percent from the floor while limiting ORU to 23-of-56 (41 percent) shooting.

The Golden Eagles closed to 79-77 following Obi Emegano's 3-point play with 2:29 left. Flack answered with a dunk and South Dakota made 10 free throws down the stretch to secure the victory.

Emegano led ORU (11-14, 3-8) with 26 points and nine rebounds. Albert Owens added 17 points.
