Pacific scores road upset at BYU, 77-72

PROVO, Utah (AP) Alec Kobre scored 17 points and T.J. Wallace added 15, including a go-ahead 3-pointer, to lead Pacific to a 77-72 upset of BYU on Saturday, snapping the Cougars' 17-game home winning streak.

Wallace hit a straightaway 3-pointer for a 62-60 lead with 3:30 left. That was the final basket for Pacific (7-15, 5-7 West Coast) but the Tigers made 15 of 16 free throws with D.J. Ursery sinking four in the final seven seconds. The Tigers finished 25 of 29 from the line.

BYU (17-8, 8-4), which had been 11-0 at home this season, didn't have a field goal in the final 2:42 but Chase Fischer made 10 straight free throws to keep the Cougars close.

Fischer finished 14 of 14 at the line for 23 points. Kyle Davis was 8 of 11 for 21 points and Nick Emery had 13. BYU shot just 34 percent and 5 of 23 from the arc.
