Marist ends 11-game losing skid with 79-73 win over Siena

POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. (AP) Brian Parker scored 24 points to help Marist end an 11-game losing streak as the Red Foxes beat Siena 79-73 on Sunday.

It was Marist's first victory since Dec. 22.

Khallid Hart hit a deep 3-pointer for Marist with 2:32 remaining to tie it at 68-all and Kristinn Palsson added a corner 3 with 1:22 left to give the Red Foxes a 73-70 lead.

Javion Ogunyemi missed two free throws for Siena with 56 seconds left but the ball went out of bounds off of Marist. Nico Clareth missed a contested 3-pointer, Isaiah Lamb grabbed the defensive rebound and made two free throws with 31 seconds left for a 75-70 lead.

Siena turned it over on its next possession, Parker was fouled and hit 1 of 2 free throws for a six-point lead.

Hart finished with 17 points for Marist (5-17, 2-11 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference).

Clareth, a freshman, scored a season-best 26 points for Siena (16-9, 9-5).
