Curry's 31 helps James Madison beat Hofstra 98-95 in OT

HARRISONBURG, Va. (AP) Ron Curry had seven 3-pointers and a career-high 31 points and Shakir Brown had eight of his 15 in overtime as James Madison defeated Hofstra 98-95 on Sunday.

Curry's 3-pointer with 16 seconds left in regulation forced overtime as the Dukes rallied from a 12-point halftime deficit. He hit four free throws in the last 38 seconds of OT.

Ameen Tanksley missed a 3-pointer at the end of regulation for Hofstra and Denton Koon missed one with three seconds left in OT.

Yohanny Dalembert had 15 points and 13 rebounds for James Madison (18-7, 8-4 Colonial Athletic Association) and Joey McLean had 13 points.

Brian Bernardi had 22 points for Hofstra (16-8, 8-4) and Juan'ya Green scored 20 in becoming the fourth player to score 1,000 points at two different Division I schools.

Green, who started his career at Niagara, joined Joe Manning (Oklahoma City-North Texas), Kenny Battle (Northern Illinois-Illinois) and Gary Neal (La Salle-Towson).
