South Brunswick High quarterbacks coach Ryan McManus will be the new quarterbacks coach for Winston-Salem State coach Kienus Boulware, according to a source.

It’s a return to McManus’s native Winston-Salem, N.C., where he was a quarterback at Wake Forest from 2005–09 and offensive graduate assistant from ’12–14. He helped the Demon Deacons win an ACC title in ’06

This past season was McManus’s first in his position at South Brunswick High in Wilmington, N.C.

A bright, young offensive mind, the 28-year-old McManus began his tenure as a graduate assistant at Wake Forest after he played for the Prague Panthers in 2011. He was a volunteer assistant at Kent State in ’10, assisting primarily with wide receivers while also working in the program’s academic services.

McManus was also an extra in the football scene of the 2012 Batman movie, The Dark Knight Rises.
