Grand Canyon beats NAIA's Benedictine (Ariz.) 95-71

PHOENIX (AP) Joshua Braun scored 26 points, Grandy Glaze had 25 points with a career-high 15 rebounds and Grand Canyon beat NAIA-member Benedictine (Ariz.) 95-71 Tuesday night.
Braun added nine rebounds and Keonta Vernon had 19 points as the Grand Canyon (21-4, 8-2 Western Athletic Conference) starters scored 83 points.
Benedictine was within 77-64 with 8:11 remaining but the Redhawks did not score again until the 3:11 mark and trailed 90-64. Braun scored six straight points during Grand Canyon's 13-0 run.
Kyle Tomlinson made four 3-pointers and scored 17 points for Benedictine while Bobby Ward added five 3s and 16 points.
Ward's 3-pointer pulled Benedictine to 45-42 with two minutes remaining in the first half but Braun and Gerard Martin combined for three 3-pointers as Grand Canyon took a 54-42 halftime lead.
Glaze and Braun each had 15 points in the first half, Vernon added 13 and Martin eight as the group scored 51 of Grand Canyon's 54 points.
