AUBURN, Ala. (AP) Auburn point guard Kareem Canty has left the team and is turning pro.

Tigers coach Bruce Pearl said Friday that Canty has left school for ''personal reasons.'' He says the frustrations of a struggling team contributed to Canty's frustrations.

Pearl had suspended his leading scorer indefinitely last week before the Georgia game for ''conduct detrimental to the team.''

Canty sat out last season after transferring from Marshall. He averaged 18.3 points, and also led the team in assists and 3-pointers.

The junior announced his decision ''to enter the NBA draft and forego my senior season'' in a series of posts on social media Thursday evening.

Canty also cited personal reasons but praised both Auburn and Pearl.

Auburn plays Vanderbilt on Saturday.
