Green Bay hangs on for 86-85 win over Detroit

DETROIT (AP) Charles Cooper scored 27 points on 10-of-12 shooting and Green Bay hung on for an 86-85 win over Detroit on Thursday night.

Green Bay (15-10, 7-5 Horizon League) took the lead for good midway through the first half on Carrington Love's 3-pointer to make it 23-22, and carried a 46-40 advantage into the break. Detroit (12-12, 6-7) stayed close in the second half and trailed by four when Paris Bass hit a 3-pointer at the buzzer.

Jordan Fouse added 16 points and had 10 rebounds for Green Bay. Kenneth Lowe scored 11 points and Kerem Kanter added 10.

Detroit, which had won its past three games, controlled the glass 46-43 but made just 11 of 18 from the line compared to Green Bay's 17 of 24.

Bass finished with 24 points to lead the Titans. Jaleel Hogan and Carlton Brundidge had 18 points apiece and Anton Wilson added 12.
