Cylla's first double-double sparks FAU's 79-73 win over UTSA

BOCA RATON, Fla. (AP) Jeantal Cylla scored 24 points and had 12 rebounds, the freshman's first double-double, to lead Florida Atlantic to a 79-73 victory over UTSA on Thursday night.

FAU (7-18, 5-7 Conference USA) hit 30 of 54 shots for 56 percent, including 8 of 21 from the arc, in snapping a two-game losing streak. Marquan Botley had four 3-pointers and scored 15 points. Ronald Delph had six of FAU's 10 blocks while adding 12 points.

The Roadrunners, who lost their seventh straight and both games to FAU this season, got 23 points and eight rebounds from Ryan Bowie and 22 points from Christian Wilson.

The Owls led by 10 at halftime and went on a 23-4 second-half run to take their biggest lead, 26 points, with 8:23 remaining. Wilson scored six straight points to cut it to eight with 2:29 left and down to five with a basket with nine seconds remaining.
