Caris Levert has returned to the Michigan lineup for the first time since injuring his ankle in the team’s Big Ten season opener against Illinois on Dec. 30.

The senior joined the Wolverines at shootaround before the team took on Purdue at home on Saturday afternoon, and had previously been called a game-time decision by head coach John Beilein.

Levert was averaging 17.6 points, 5.4 rebounds and 5.2 assists per game for Michigan before his injury, and in December recorded just the fourth triple-double in program history and his 1,000th point for the Wolverines in a win over Northern Kentucky.

Michigan is currently 18–7 with an 8–4 conference record.
