Report: Ole Miss and Baylor to play in 2020 Advocare Texas Kickoff
Ole Miss and Baylor will play in the 2020 Advocare Texas Kickoff, reports ESPN’s Brett McMurphy.
The game, which will take place in Houston at NRG Stadium, will occur during the 2020 season’s opening weekend.
Rumors of this matchup first surfaced last month, when Ole Miss athletic director Ross Bjork confirmed to SEC Country that the two sides were talking about it.
With the SEC now requiring its members to schedule a Power Five non–conference opponent each season, the Rebels will meet the conference’s regulations by scheduling the Bears of the Big 12.
Excluding 2018, Ole Miss has Power Five opponents scheduled through 2025.
