Michigan coach Jim Harbaugh is not taking criticism of his team’s upcoming trip to Florida very seriously.

Harbaugh has scheduled spring break practices for the Wolverines at the IMG Academy in Florida, drawing the ire of coaches and conference commissioners who seemingly perceive the trip as a shady recruiting tactic. Coaches have also been critical of Harbaugh for scheduling the practices during time off from school.

Friday, Harbaugh laughed off those concerns.

Also on Friday, NCAA president Mark Emmert questioned Harbaugh’s decision to schedule the trip. According to current NCAA rules, the spring break practices are not prohibited, but the NCAA will reportedly meet in April to discuss a potential change in its regulations regarding the time student-athletes spend on athletics.

The Wolverines went 10–3 in Harbaugh’s first season at the helm. The spring practices are scheduled to begin on Feb. 27 and last through March 6.
