Illinois forward Leron Black was arrested late Thursday after an incident at a local nightclub in Urbana, Ill., the News-Gazette reports

Black, 20, was reportedly arrested for aggravated assault after allegedly threatening a security guard at the Canopy Club. Black allegedly had a knife and became “belligerent and hostile” toward the guard, according to University Police. Black told police he was frustrated about the way security was treating his girlfriend and felt the bouncers were unfair to him and his group.

Black is scheduled for a Friday court appearance for a Class 4 felony. Illinois head coach John Groce announced Black’s indefinite suspension from team activities in a statement Friday morning.

The sophomore forward from Memphis, Tenn., has missed much of this season with a knee injury. He averaged five points and 4.3 rebounds last season as a freshman.
