Eastern Michigan leads all the way in 91-85 win over Toledo

YPSILANTI, Mich. (AP) Brandon Nazione scored 21 points and Raven Lee hit critical free throws down the stretch to send Eastern Michigan to a 91-85 victory over Toledo on Saturday.

The Eagles (14-13, 6-8 Mid-American), who shot 77 percent in the first half and 68 percent overall, never trailed. The team was 34 of 50 from the floor and 11 of 16 (68.8 percent) from 3-point range. The overall and 3-point percentages are school records.

The Rockets (16-11, 7-7) rallied from a 19-point first-half deficit to cut EMU's lead to 78-77 with 2:28 left on Stuckey Mosley's 3-point play. The Eagles' Tim Bond hit a 3-pointer before Lee added six straight free throws to lead 87-83 with 30 seconds left. Toledo's Jonathan Williams missed a 3-pointer and Ty Toney added two free throws for a six-point advantage with five seconds remaining.

EMU's Willie Mangum IV, with five 3-pointers, added 19 points, Lee 18 and Toney 17 while leading scorer James Thompson IV had just two.

Williams scored 24 points to lead the Rockets and Nathan Boothe added 16.
