Campbell holds on to edge Charleston Southern 74-72

NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) Troy Harper scored 25 points and grabbed eight rebounds as Campbell held on in the face of a late-game rally to edge Charleston Southern 74-72 on Saturday night.

Harper was 7 of 13 from the field - including three 3-pointers - and 8 of 10 from the line for the Camels (12-15, 5-11 Big South). Chris Clemons added 13 points and Kyre' Hamer had 11 points and six rebounds. The team shot 51 percent from the field and 78.6 percent from the free-throw line.

Campbell led 69-61 when a steal and layup by Charleston Southern's Reuben King brought the Buccaneers within 69-63 with 2:17 left. The Buccaneers were down three with three seconds remaining when Potter missed the second of two free throws but Raemond Robinson got the offensive rebound. However, Robinson missed a final shot.

Robinson scored 27 points for the Buccaneers (9-19, 5-12). Aaron Wheeler added 17 points and King 14.
