New Hampshire beats Hartford 74-63

DURHAM, N.H. (AP) Tanner Leissner scored 13 points and grabbed 15 rebounds as New Hampshire beat Hartford 74-63 on Saturday night.

Daniel Dion added 12 points with four rebounds and four assists for the Wildcats (17-10, 10-4 America East Conference). Jaleen Smith had 10 points with four rebounds and three assists. The team hit 36 percent from the field overall and 77 percent from the line.

Hartford opened the first half with a 14-5 run, took it to 29-10 midway and led 40-32 at the break.

Dion drained a 3-pointer to give the New Hampshire a 50-47 lead with 12:07 to play in the second half. Leissner extended it to 56-49 on a jumper with 8:37 to go and the Wildcats led the rest of the way.

Jalen Ross scored 22 points with five rebounds for the Hawks (8-21, 3-11). Pancake Thomas added 17 points, five rebounds and three assists.
