Abilene Christian beats SE Louisiana 91-80

ABILENE, Texas (AP) Jaylen Franklin led a balanced attack with 15 points and Abilene Christian scored its last 11 points from the foul line to defeat Southeast Louisiana 91-80 on Sunday.

A 3-pointer by Isaiah Tripp that made it 80-69 with 3:48 remaining was the last basket for the Wildcats, who made 11 of 14 free throws from there.

Abilene Christian (12-15, 7-7 Southland Conference) shot 58 percent in the first half to take a 44-33 lead at the break. The Wildcats then made 26 of 31 free throws in the second half. Franklin was 11 of 14 from the line and Austin Cook was 8 for 8 to finish with 14 points. Sixth other players had at least seven points.

The Lions (7-19, 5-8), who were 11 of 18 from the line, were also balanced. Dimi Cook and Zay Jackson both scored 16 points, Marlain Veal had 15, Jordan Capps added 14 and Moses Greenwood 13.
