BUFFALO, N.Y. (AP) University at Buffalo defensive end Solomon Jackson was taken to the hospital after experiencing what the school is calling a medical emergency that took place at a team conditioning session.

The school did not release any further details about what happened on Monday morning. Solomon's status is not immediately known because the school cited HIPAA laws in being unable to release private health information.

A message left with Buffalo General Hospital spokesman Michael Hughes was not returned.

Jackson is from Stone Mountain, Georgia. He was credited with eight tackles and two sacks in 12 games as a sophomore last season.
