Arkansas has hired former Iowa State head coach Paul Rhoads to coach their defensive backs, the school announced on Wednesday.

Arkansas has hired former Iowa State head coach Paul Rhoads to coach their defensive backs, the school announced Wednesday.

Rhoads, who was hired by the Cyclones in 2009, was let go after six straight losing seasons. He went 32–55 and 1–2 in bowl games.

The 49-year-old began his coaching career as a graduate assistant in 1989 at Utah State before spending time with Pacific, Iowa State, Pittsburgh and Auburn.
