Lawyers for the University of Tennessee have filed a motion to remove the mention of former quarterback Peyton Manning from the federal lawsuit alleging Title IX violations against the school, according to the Associated Press.

The 68-page lawsuit filed on behalf of six unidentified women, five listed as rape victims, focuses on case from 2013 to 2015. However, the suit touches on incidents as far back as 1995 to establish the claim that the school has mishandled past cases.

The Manning incident, in which is accused of sitting on a female trainers face, makes up one paragraph of the document.

The motion to remove the Manning reference questioned its relevance to the case and claims that it was “a misguided (and unfortunately successful) attempt to generate publicity.”

According to the Knoxville News Sentinel, the school’s lawyers claim that removing the Manning paragraph will streamline the case and protect the privacy of Manning and the trainer, Jamie Naughright.
