NEW ORLEANS (AP) B.J. Tyson scored 22 points and Lance Tejada added 18 as East Carolina beat Tulane 79-73 Wednesday night and snapped its six-game losing streak.

The Green Wave had won three straight against East Carolina (11-17, 3-12 American Athletic), but the Pirates have now won each of the last three meetings in New Orleans. Tulane beat East Carolina in triple overtime two weeks ago to end its six-game skid.

Tyson hit back-to-back 3's and gave Tulane a 66-54 lead with 10:02 to play. But Tulane went on a 19-9 run and a pair of Louis Dabney 3s made it 75-73 with 1:06 to go. Tyson responded with a 3 with 38 seconds to go to seal it.

Dylan Osetkowski scored 18 points and had 12 rebounds for Tulane (10-18, 3-12) and Dabney scored 18.

Osetkowski threw down five dunks while recording his fourth-straight double-double and 11th of the season.
