Kennesaw State beats Lipscomb 73-57

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) Kendrick Ray had 26 points and 10 rebounds Thursday night and Kennesaw State closed the season with a 73-57 win over Lipscomb.

The Owls (11-19, 7-7 Atlantic Sun Conference) led 56-52 with 4:33 left and made 15 of 16 from the foul line to pull away. Ray's basket with 49 seconds left capped the scoring and was Kennesaw State's only field goal in the last five minutes.

Lipscomb (11-20, 7-7), meanwhile, made just one of its last 11 attempts from the field while scoring three points in the final 3:54.

Nigel Pruitt scored 11 points and Yonel Brown added 10 for the Owls, who earned the No. 5 seed ahead of Lipscomb by sweeping the season series. Kennesaw State visits fourth-seeded Florida Gulf Coast on Tuesday while Lipscomb, as the No. 6 seed, visits third-seeded Jacksonville.

Garrison Mathews and George Brammeier led the Bisons with 16 and 15 points, respectively.
