Moorehead, Wright lead Montana past Idaho St., 90-77

POCATELLO, Idaho (AP) Freshman Bobby Moorehead hit 8 of 11 from 3-point range for 24 points and Walter Wright scored 29 on 10-of-17 shooting - all career highs - to help Montana cruise to a 90-77 win over Idaho State on Thursday night.

Martin Breunig added 14 points and 10 rebounds for Montana.

The Grizzlies (18-8, 13-2 Big Sky) shot 55 percent, including 8 of 13 from 3-point range, and scored 14 points off 10 Idaho State turnovers in the first half to take a 43-34 lead into the break.

A pair of free throws by Geno Luzcando pulled the Bengals (14-13, 9-6) within four with 11:45 to play, but Moorehead hit three 3s and Breunig scored six over the next four minutes as Montana pushed its lead to 71-58.

Idaho State trailed by at least seven the rest of the way.

Ethan Telfair led the Bengals with 30 points. Luzcando added 17.
