Nebraska-Omaha holds off Oral Roberts 102-98

OMAHA, Neb. (AP) Devin Patterson had 29 points and Randy Reed added a career-high 21 to lead Nebraska-Omaha to a 102-98 victory over Oral Roberts on Thursday night to secure a No. 3 seed in the Summit League Tournament.

Jake White added 18 points and Tra-Deon Hollins chipped in 16 and dished out 10 assists for Omaha (18-12, 10-6).

Omaha never trailed in the second half and was up 86-71 with 5:41 left. ORU's Obi Emegano, who finished with 26 points, drilled a trey as the Golden Eagles finished with a 27-16 run, but it was too late.

Both teams were hot in the second half with the Mavericks making 56 percent of their field goals for the game. ORU was 39 of 76. Omaha also hit 9 of 17 from long range while ORU made 4 of 17 from distance.

DaQuan Jeffries had 21 points for ORU (14-15, 6-9).
