BYU tops Portland 99-81; Collinsworth has 11th triple-double

PROVO, Utah (AP) Kyle Collinsworth had his fifth triple-double of the season, increasing his NCAA career record to 11, and six players scored in double figures as BYU rolled to a 99-81 win over Portland on Thursday night.

Collinsworth had 14 points, 10 rebounds and a career-high 16 assists, for the Cougars (22-8, 13-4 West Coast Conference), who led 53-26 at halftime on the way to their fifth-straight win.

Chase Fisher had 21 points, Nick Emery 18 and reserve Jordan Chatman had a career-high 13.

Jazz Johnson came off the bench to score all 17 of his points in the second half to lead the Pilots (12-18, 6-11). Bryce Pressley had 15 and Ray Barreno had 10 points and 11 rebounds.

BYU was up three just past the midway point of the first half when the Cougars reeled off 13-straight points, ending with three-consecutive 3s - the last two by Chatman. A 3 from Emery at the 2:23 mark made it 50-26.
