Tennessee Tech shoots 52 percent to beat E. Kentucky 92-79

COOKEVILLE, Tenn. (AP) Aleksa Jugovic scored a career-high 30 points, Torrance Rowe added 23 and Tennessee Tech rolled to a 92-82 victory over Eastern Kentucky on Saturday night.

The Golden Eagles (19-10, 11-5 Ohio Valley) swept Eastern Kentucky (15-16, 6-10) for the first time since the 2011-12 season.

Jugovic made seven 3-pointers and finished 9 of 17 from the floor. Rowe hit five 3s on 6-of-14 shooting overall. Mason Ramsey chipped in 13 points for Tennessee Tech, which shot 52 percent from the field and 43 percent on 13-of-30 shooting from long range.

JaVontae Hawkins and Nick Mayo scored 16 points apiece to lead Eastern Kentucky, which has lost four of its last five games.

It was tied at 37-all at the break. Tennessee Tech opened the second half on a 16-6 run, capped by Rowe's 3-pointer, to take a 53-43 lead. The Colonels pulled to 60-57 with 8:48 remaining, but did not get closer.
