Kansas takes top spot in new AP Top 25 poll, Michigan State No. 2
Kansas is atop the latest AP Top 25 poll for the first time since January. The Jayhawks (25–4) received 63 first-place votes, while Michigan State (24–5) received two first-place votes and sit at second in the poll.
After being No. 1 for the past three weeks, Villanova fell to No. 3. The Wildcats lost to Xavier last week, 90–83.
Following Villanova in the top 10 is Virginia, Xavier, Oklahoma, Miami, North Carolina, Oregon and West Virginia. This most recent AP poll marks the Ducks’ first appearance in the top 10 this season.
Cal is new to the list, coming in at No. 25 and replacing Notre Dame, which left after being 23rd last week.
Arizona and Iowa dropped nine spots and eight spots from last week, both falling out of the top 10.
