Watch: Bryn Forbes sets Big Ten record for threes in a game

Michigan State senior guard Bryn Forbes set the Big Ten record for most three-pointers made in a game in the Spartans’ 97–66 win at Rutgers on Wednesday. Forbes scored a career-high 33 points on 11 of 16 shooting from behind the arc.

The previous record was 10 threes, set by Michigan State’s Chris Hill in 2003 and later tied by Ohio State’s Jon Diebler in 2011. Before Wednesday, Forbes’ career-high was eight threes against Michigan. He’s averaging 15.2 points per game this season on 51.5% three-point shooting.

The Spartans, ranked No. 2 in the latest AP poll, finish out the regular season with a home game against Ohio State on Saturday.
