Sam Houston State rolls over Lamar 94-76

HUNTSVILLE, Texas (AP) Aurimas Majauskas had 26 points and Jamal Williams added 16 as Sam Houston State rolled over Lamar 94-76 on Thursday night.

Majauskas hit 8 of 11 field goal attempts and was 10 of 13 from the line. Williams made 6 of 8 from the floor. Dakarai Henderson and Josh Delaney had 11 apiece for Sam Houston State (17-13, 12-5) which ranks third in the Southland Conference. The Bearkats will conclude the regular season when they face Stephen F. Austin, the regular-season champions, on Saturday.

SHSU led 48-41 at the half and outscored the Cardinals 46-35 in the second period. The Bearkats, who picked up 44 points in the paint while limiting Lamar to 30, hit 67 percent of their shots in the first half. They were 31 of 58 for the game.

Kevin Booze had 17 points and Preston Mattingly added 13 for Lamar (11-19, 3-15).
