Montana rolls to 71-46 win over North Dakota

MISSOULA, Mont. (AP) Walter Wright scored 18 points, Martin Breunig added 17 with 12 rebounds, and Montana rolled to a 71-46 win over North Dakota on Thursday night.

Montana (19-9, 14-3 Big Sky Conference) took the lead for good during a 14-3 run midway through the first half and carried a 36-26 advantage into the break. The Grizzlies poured it on in the second half, opening with a 20-2 run that took nearly 10 minutes off the clock and included 3-pointers from Wright, Jack Lopez, Michael Oguine and Mario Dunn.

Oguine finished with 12 points for the Grizzlies, who shot 40 percent from the field (24-60) and forced 18 turnovers to get the season sweep over North Dakota (15-3, 10-7).

Conner Avants led the Fighting Hawks with 14 points and nine rebounds. North Dakota's leading scorer, Quinton Hooker, was held to a season-low four points on 2-for-11 shooting.
