Eastern Michigan rallies to beat Toledo 79-75

TOLEDO, Ohio (AP) Raven Lee scored 26 points and made 10 of 12 free throws and Eastern Michigan rallied to beat Toledo 79-75 on Friday night to earn a home game in the first round of the Mid-American Conference tournament on Monday.

Trailing by 35-31 at halftime, Eastern Michigan rallied to a 59-58 lead on Tim Bond's dunk, then led 65-61 on Brandon Nazione's jumper with 5:23 left.

Jonathan Williams hit a 3-pointer with three seconds left to pull the Rockets to within 77-75, but Lee made two free throws for the Eagles and Williams missed a 3-pointers with a second to go.

Bond and Willie Mangum IV scored 13 apiece, Bond had a career-high seven steals, and James Thompson IV added 12 points for the Eagles (17-14, 9-9). Jordan Nobles grabbed a career-high 11 rebounds.

Nathan Boothe scored 27 for the Rockets (17-14, 8-10), who will open Monday's tournament on the road.
