Alabama A&M comes back to beat Jackson State 54-51

NORMAL, Ala. (AP) Ladarius Tabb scored 16 points and grabbed nine rebounds, and Quinterian McConico hit a pair of free throws with 10 seconds left to give Alabama A&M a 54-51 win over Jackson State on Saturday night.

McConico shot 6 of 9 from the field and made his lone two free-throw attempts for Alabama A&M (10-17, 6-12 Southwestern Athletic Conference), which overcame a 12-point deficit to snap a three-game losing streak.

After Yettra Specks hit a pair of free throws to give Jackson State a 51-45 lead with 2:46 left, the Tigers missed five straight shots.

Alabama A&M closed on a 9-0 run - all on free throws.

Jackson State (17-14, 12-6) led 28-25 at the half and grew its lead to 12 with a Chace Franklin 3-pointer with 7:16 remaining.

Paris Collins led the Tigers with 16 points, and Raeford Worsham had 12 points and seven boards.
