Mississippi Valley State seeks progress in 2016

(STATS) - Mississippi Valley State's struggling program will seek considerable improvement during coach Rick Comegy's third season guiding the SWAC program.

The Delta Devils have set an 11-game schedule, including four at Rice-Totten Stadium. They are 3-19, including 2-16 in conference games, in Comegy's first two seasons.

Their nonconference games will be at Eastern Michigan (Sept. 3) and Montana (Oct. 8).

Within the SWAC, Mississippi Valley State will host Alabama A&M (Sept. 10), Prairie View A&M (Sept. 24), Grambling State (Oct. 22, Homecoming) and Alcorn State (Nov. 12). Their road conference games are at Texas Southern (Sept. 17), Jackson State (Oct. 1), Alabama State (Oct. 15) Arkansas-Pine Bluff (Nov. 5) and Southern (Nov. 19).
