Bucknell to face competitive 2016 schedule

(STATS) - Bucknell will play four teams that made last year's FCS playoffs as part of an 11-game 2016 schedule announced Wednesday.

The two qualifiers from the Patriot League will visit Christy Mathewson-Memorial Stadium - defending champion Colgate (Oct. 15) and Fordham (Nov. 19). The Bison also will visit defending Northeast Conference champion Duquesne (Sept. 10) and defending Big South Conference champ Charleston Southern (Oct. 29).

Bucknell will host Cornell (Sept. 17), VMI (Sept. 24) and Lafayette (Oct. 22, Homecoming), and coach Joe Susan's squad will play additional road games against Marist (Sept. 3) and Patriot League opponents Holy Cross (Oct. 8), Lehigh (Nov. 5) and Georgetown (Nov. 12).

Bucknell finished 4-7 overall and 1-5 in the Patriot League last season.
