Simone Biles, Derrick Henry among Sullivan Award finalists

ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) World gymnastics champion Simone Biles, Heisman Trophy winner Derrick Henry of Alabama and Connecticut basketball star Breanna Stewart are among seven finalists for the Sullivan Award that honors the nation's best amateur athlete.

Also in the running are record-setting quarterback Keenan Reynolds of Navy, wrestler Jordan Burroughs, speed skater Brittany Bowe, and volleyball player Mikaela Foecke of Nebraska.

Voting for the award is open to the public online through March 23. The award has been given annually since 1930, when golfer Bobby Jones was the first recipient. It is named after AAU founder James E. Sullivan and will be presented at the New York Athletic Club on April 10.

Past winners include Peyton Manning, Michael Phelps, Carl Lewis and Michelle Kwan.
