Florida State freshman guard Malik Beasley announced Monday night he is declaring for the NBA draft.

Though a recent rule change allows underclassmen to return to school after having their draft stock evaluated at the NBA scouting combine, ESPN’s Jeff Goodman reports that Beasley “has little intention of just testing the waters.”

Beasley started all 34 of FSU’s games this season, averaging 15.6 points and 5.3 assists in 29.8 minutes per game. He was named to the All-ACC Freshman Team.

Beasley is a native of Alpharetta, Ga., and was a four-star high-school recruit.

DraftExpress.com ranks Beasley as the No. 32 prospect in this year’s draft.
