Providence guard Kris Dunn will declare for the 2016 NBA Draft, reports Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports. 

The junior is a two-time Big East player of the year, earning the honor in 2016 after averaging 16.4 points, 6.2 assists and 5.3 rebounds.

Dunn excels on defense, being named the conference’s defensive player of the year each of the last two seasons.

The 6’4” point guard is currently project to be a top-five pick, according to DraftExpress.com. 

Dunn led Providence to a 23–10 record this season. The Friars were knocked out of the NCAA tournament in the Round of 32 by top-seeded North Carolina.
