Kentucky signee Jordan Bonner was stabbed six times last weekend in his hometown of Euclid, Ohio, reports Fox 8 in Cleveland.

Bonner, a junior defensive end, sustained stab wounds to the chest, abdomen and back. He is reportedly recovering well, and was released from the hospital after four days.

“This sets me back a little because I need to finish my classes and I can’t go back until I get the staples out next week,” Bonner told Fox 8.

Aristotle Lewis was arrested and charged with the assault. He pleaded not guilty and was released on bond.
