Stanford will hire Jerod Haase as its next head coach, reports ESPN’s Jeff Goodman.
The 41-year-old Haase has coached at UAB the last four seasons, posting an 80–53 record. The Blazers won 26 games this season, winning the Conference USA regular season title.
The Blazers last made the UAB in NCAA tournament 2015.
Prior to accepting the job with the Blazers, Haase was an assistant coach at North Carolina and Kansas. At Stanford, he will replace Johnny Dawkins, who went 156–115 from 2008–2016.
The Cardinal have not made the NCAA tournament since a Sweet Sixteen run in 2014.
