Clemson quarterback Deshaun Watson leads the early Heisman Trophy odds for 2016.

Watson, who led Clemson to the College Football Playoff national title game last season, currently has 5/1 odds to win the honor, while LSU running back Leonard Fournette and Stanford running back Christian McCaffrey stand at 6/1.

Next in line is Oklahoma quarterback Baker Mayfield at 10/1, followed by Florida State running back Dalvin Cook at 12/1.

Of the seven players listed last January as top candidates for the 2015 Heisman Trophy, none finished the season as a finalist or in the top five.
