Indiana's Troy Williams declares for NBA draft, will not hire agent

Indiana junior forward Troy Williams has declared for the NBA draft but will not hire an agent, the university announced.
“After much thought and family discussion, I've decided to declare for this year's NBA Draft but will not hire an agent,” Williams said in a statement. “This gives me the opportunity to explore future possibilities, while keeping my options open. Coach (Tom) Crean is always supportive and makes sure that you have the best information to help you make a decision like this and I value his input. I'm excited to go through the process.”

By not hiring an agent, Williams will be able to explore his draft stock and participate at the NBA draft combine without losing his NCAA eligibility if he decides to return to school.
Williams is coming off a season in which he averaged 13.3 points, 5.8 rebounds and 2.0 assists. He broke out from beyond the arc with 21 three-pointers, which nearly doubled his total from his freshman and sophomore campaigns.
Indiana finished the season with a Sweet Sixteen appearance in the NCAA tournament.
