Deyonta Davis is entering the NBA draft after one season at Michigan State.

The school announced his decision Tuesday.

Davis is projected to be a first-round pick. The 6-foot-10, 240-pound forward scored 7.5 points and grabbed 5.5 rebounds per game as a key player on a balanced team. Davis averaged nearly two blocks a game and finished with 64, setting a freshman mark at the school and ranking second for a single season by any player for the Spartans.

He is leaving a day after highly touted recruit Josh Jackson announced he wasn't coming to Michigan State, choosing to commit to Kansas. Davis departs with seniors Denzel Valentine, Matt Costello and Bryn Forbes along with transfers Marvin Clark and Javon Bess.
