Four-star defensive end Jaelan Phillips has committed to UCLA, he announced Thursday on Twitter.
The Redlands, Calif. native is the top ranked player at his position on the West Coast, and 67th overall in the class of 2017, according to Scout.com.
Phillips took a visit to UCLA last weekend, which he said aided in his decision.
“That visit sealed the deal for me,” Phillips told Scout. “I spent a ton of time with the coaches and players and really felt a connection. I spent two nights there and more than anything, UCLA is the school I felt the most comfortable at.”
Phillips chose UCLA over Stanford and Oregon, among several other offers.
