Syracuse football players Chauncey Scissum and Corey Winfield were stabbed by a former teammate, according to Syracuse.com.

The incident reportedly occurred on the Syracuse campus Saturday. Winfield is in stable condition, while the condition of Scissum is not yet known.

The former teammate, Naesean Howard, was charged with two counts of assault and criminal possession of a weapon. He left the Orange program as a freshman in 2014 and was readmitted to the school early this year. However, he was not allowed to rejoin the football team.

Scissum and Winfield are both redshirt junior defensive backs for Syracuse. Scissum made 43 tackles last season, while Winfield recorded 30 tackles, two interceptions and two sacks.
