Four-star linebacker Avery Roberts has committed to Nebraska, he announced Thursday. 

Roberts is ranked as the No. 87 overall prospect in the class of 2017, and the fifth-best linebacker, according to Scout.com. The Delaware-native currently ranks as the top player in Nebraska’s class. 

He is one of the most-highly sought after linebackers in the nation, holding offers from 29 schools. 

Avery led Concord High School in Delaware to a 6–4 record last season.
