Former Arizona Cardinals assistant strength and conditioning coach Pete Alosi has accepted the same role under Buffalo Bulls head coach Lance Leipold, according to a source.

Alosi spent seven seasons with the Cardinals, joining in 2008 as a staff assistant before becoming a full-time coach in ’10. He worked as a sports performance coach at Arizona State in ’07 and conducted off-season internships with the New York Giants in ’07 and Cleveland Browns in ’06.

He got his start in coaching as a strength and conditioning intern at Hofstra in ’03.

The Massapequa, N.Y., native played linebacker at Salisbury Univeristy from 2000–02.

Alosi joins a Buffalo program that went 5–7 last year in Leipold’s debut season. Leipold had a 109–6 record in his previous job at Wisconsin-Whitewater, where he won the NCAA Division III national championship in six of his eight seasons.
